Covid-19: Night curfew implemented in 8 districts of Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has announced a night curfew in eight districts to curb the growing cases of Covid-19. These eight districts include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, Udaipur, Alwar, Ajmer and Bhilwara.

Markets, restaurants, shops etc. will be closed by 7 pm. And curfew will be imposed in these cities from 8 pm. The curfew will be in place till 6 am.

However, emergency services such as medical shops, railways and air travelers will be exempted.

A cabinet meeting was convened on Saturday to review the growing cases of Covid-19 in the state.

It was decided in the meeting that those not wearing masks will now be fined Rs 500 which was earlier Rs 200. In addition, the number of 100 people in marriage ceremonies should be limited.

A total of 3,007 cases of coronavirus were reported in Rajasthan on Saturday, which is a record high in the state. Since the beginning of the month of November, the number of Covid patients has been steadily increasing and daily cases are above the 2,000 marks.
