Delhi government lauds armed forces for successful military action under ‘Operation Sindoor’

New Delhi, May 7  After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army carried out a major military action and destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan. The Delhi government led by CM Rekha Gupta praised the Indian armed forces for the successful military action.

Praising ‘Operation Sindoor’, a post was made on the social media platform ‘X’ by the Delhi CMO. It read, “The Council of Ministers of the Delhi Government expresses heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing leadership and support to the Indian Armed Forces in executing ‘Operation Sindoor’.”

It further wrote, “The Delhi Government appreciates the bravery, precision and patriotism of our armed forces for successfully neutralizing the perpetrators of terrorist activities against India. India is united in the face of terrorism and this operation is a testimony to our strength, unity and resolve to protect our people and our land.”

It is noteworthy that the Indian Army attacked nine terrorist hideouts between 1:05 am and 1:30 am on Tuesday night, including the Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters in Muridke and major terrorist hideouts in Bahawalpur, these are the places which are considered to be the center of terrorist activities. This attack was named ‘Operation Sindoor’.

According to government sources, about 70 terrorists were killed in this operation. Officials said that this action was of a well-thought-out, proportionate and non-aggressive nature, in which terrorist camps were specifically targeted, except for civilian and military infrastructure.

PM Modi called a meeting of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday and gave detailed information about ‘Operation Sindoor’. He also informed President Draupadi Murmu about this. After the successful operation, the central government has called an all-party meeting on Thursday (May 8) at 11 am.
