Barabanki, 2 April. On Tuesday, a bus carrying school children to Lucknow met with an accident in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. In this tragic accident, four children died on the spot and many others were injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
Additional Superintendent of Police Barabanki CN Sinha said that the children of Composite School Harakka of development block Suratganj were taken on an educational trip to Lucknow’s Zoo and other places in the morning. When the bus was returning from Lucknow to Suratganj, the driver of the bus lost his balance while trying to save the bike rider who suddenly appeared near Salarpur village under Deva Kotwali area of the district. Due to which the speeding bus overturned in a pit on the roadside.
Four children died in this accident. Whereas, many others were injured. The teachers of the school told that our staff of five had gone to Lucknow with the children on an educational trip. After successfully completing the educational tour, we were coming back towards Suratganj. Meanwhile, while trying to save the bike rider, the bus went out of control and overturned on the roadside.
With the help of villagers, rescue operation was started on the spot. All the injured children were sent to the district hospital with the help of ambulance. Where his treatment continues.
