Gandhiji taught us that if we want to live, we have to live without fear: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, October 2  Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. He released a video message and said, “Bapu has taught me that if we want to live, we have to live without fear.”

Recalling the contribution and thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi said that Gandhiji was not just a person, but a way of thinking and living. Gandhiji taught us that if we want to live, we have to live without fear. Whether we are put in jail or three bullets hit our chest, we should never be afraid.

Rahul Gandhi said that when we work with love, we can change the world. This is not a country of hatred. India is the first country that fought the freedom struggle with love. My wish is that our country should become such that the whole world says that if we want to get freedom, then we have to become free like Hindustan.

He said that the structure that Mahatma Gandhi established allows this dialogue to proceed smoothly. For me, freedom does not mean only political freedom. Swaraj begins from within us. We have to break the shackles within us first. Rahul Gandhi further said that Mahatma Gandhi believed in the future and had a positive vision for India.

Let us tell you that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, the whole country is remembering both the heroes. Mahatma Gandhi, who followed the path of truth and non-violence, played an important role in freeing India from British rule. At the same time, India’s second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri is remembered for his simple life and patriotism. He led India during the 1965 Indo-Pakistan War and gave the slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’.
