India will host the next AI Action Summit, PM Modi expressed happiness

Paris, February 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that it is a pleasure to host the next summit on behalf of India to increase the momentum of the AI ​​Action Summit.

In his concluding address, PM Modi said that one thing that has emerged from today’s discussion is that there is unity in the vision and purpose of all the parties.

The Prime Minister said, “I welcome the decision to establish the AI ​​Foundation and the Council for Sustainable AI.”

He said, “I congratulate France and my dear friend President Emmanuel Macron for these initiatives and assure our full support.”

The Prime Minister suggested creating a “global partnership for AI”.

Earlier, while addressing the ‘AI Action Summit’, Prime Minister Modi had said that India is developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for public good and the country has the world’s largest AI talent pool.

Along with this, he further said that India is creating its own Large Language Model (LLM) in view of its diversity.

The Prime Minister said, “We also have a unique public-private partnership model to collect resources like computing power. It has been made available to our start-ups and researchers at an affordable price.”

Prime Minister Modi further said, “AI can change the lives of millions of people through health, agriculture and others. It can help create a world in which the journey of sustainable development goals will become easier and faster.”

On the debate of loss of jobs due to AI, the Prime Minister said that history is witness that work does not end due to technology.

He further said, “Types of jobs change and new types of jobs are created. For this, we have to invest in skills and reskilling, so that people can be prepared for the future driven by AI.”
