Indian American Pooja Bhavishi has become the new “Ice cream” Queen of New York

National Ice Cream Day: Pooja Bhavishi, CEO of ice cream brand “Malai” in New York, has given more than 22 Indian flavors of this desert special recognition among foreigners

Pooja has tried to maintain the desi taste among foreigners by her brand. She has introduced 22 desi flavors of ice cream to ice cream lovers in her company.

If we talk about the Indian taste, then eating Indian ghee and jaggery on bread is very pleasing to Indians. It is a matter of desi taste in food but if you want to enjoy the desi taste in ice cream, then you can enjoy different taste by mixing cinnamon, jaggery or rose.

Pooja Bhavishi is bringing different flavors of ice cream to the common people in New York. Pooja graduated from the London School of Economics. She then did her MBA from New York’s Stern School of Business. She is currently the CEO of Malai Dot Co.

Malai Dot is an ice cream company that uses aromatic flavors, South Asian spices and ingredients from different regions of the world to make ice cream. Pooja was born in Pennsylvania. She says when I was little my mother used to make very good ice cream at home.

My family is Gujarati. I like the taste of millet vada and chakali. These are the dishes that were made very much in our house. Mother was also an expert in making chocolate chip cookies. I have been fond of eating cookies and ice cream ever since.

Pooja’s company Malai is completely influenced by Indian taste. She says I have tried to mix every taste I tested in my ice cream brand in my childhood. According to her, food is a common language which has the power to bind the whole world in one formula.

Pooja loves the smell of tea. In New York, she also enjoys a variety of tea flavors. Pooja says I am an Indian American woman. I cannot leave the Indian flavor of ice cream in America. I have tried to maintain the desi taste among foreigners from my brand.

Pooja has launched White Chocolate Coconut Coriander Sorbet for those who like Vegan Diet only a few weeks ago. She soon wants to introduce other flavors like this to Vegan lovers. When Pooja is asked which flavor of ice cream she likes the most, she says Rose Flavor with Cineman Roasted Almond.

This taste is on her tongue since childhood. She has introduced 22 desi flavors of ice cream to ice cream lovers in her company. These include Masala Tea, Pampican Garam Masala Crumble, Sweet Corn and Saffron.
