Kharge alleges more than 52 lakh deaths due to Covid

New Delhi| The second day of the monsoon session was also a stormy one. After the opposition parties agreed to discuss the Covid issue in the Rajya Sabha, some members started shouting slogans when the proceedings of the House started at 1 pm. Amid the uproar, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge said, “I feel humiliated as I was not allowed to speak. I have been a member for fifty years and have not lost the election except in 2019 when the election was rigged.” Kharge continued the discussion after the House resumed and began with paying tributes to the corona warriors and said that during the second wave of the pandemic, there was complete chaos and pathetic condition was witnessed especially in Ganga.

He said, “The government’s figures on deaths are not correct because there are more than six lakh villages in India and if five people have died in one village then more than three million people have died, but if you add the urban centers If so, the data could be of more than 52 lakh people who died due to Covid-19. The government is releasing wrong data, so it is necessary to expose them.”

He also attacked the RSS over Mohan Bhagwat’s statement on Covid, who said that those who died due to Covid are free from the cycle of life and death.

He alleged that the government had completely failed in managing the pandemic as oxygen, hospital beds were not available.

Kharge also attacked the government and the BJP for holding big rallies in West Bengal during the election campaign
