Bihar: 83 people have died due to lightning in Bihar, while 24 people have died in Uttar Pradesh so far. PM Modi and Nitish Kumar expressed grief over the death of people.
PM Modi tweeted his condolences on the incident, tweeting, “There was the sad news of the death of many people due to heavy rains and lightning in some districts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. State Governments are busy with relief efforts. I express my condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in this disaster.

Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the death of people in the state from thunderbolt. In addition, the dependents of the deceased have been directed to give four lakh rupees immediately. He said that he is with the affected families in this hour of disaster.
13 in Gopalganj from Vajrapat, five in East Champaran, six in Siwan, five in Darbhanga, five in Banka, six in Bhagalpur, three in Khagadia, eight in Madhubani, two in West Champaran, one in Samastipur, one in Shivhar, one in Kishanganj Two have died in Saran, two in Jehanabad, one in Sitamarhi, two in Jamui, eight in Nawada, two in Purnia, two in Supaul, three in Aurangabad, two in Buxar, one in Madhepura and two in Kaimur.
The Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has appealed to the people to be fully alert in inclement weather. Disaster Management Department should follow the suggestions issued from time to time to prevent lightning in case of inclement weather.
