Mock drill to check the preparedness of agencies for republic day celebration-2022

New Delhi: On 25.01.2022 at around 10:30 AM, a contingency mock drill was conducted near Red Fort to check the preparedness of various agencies to deal effectively with any emergency during Republic Day Celebration-2022. The scenario was that there is a bomb blast at Upper Netaji Subhash Marg near Red Fort with few casualties.

04 injured persons were found at the spot. Within minutes of the incident, a Command Post was set up under the leadership of Shri Sagar Singh Kalsi, DCP/North District, and the team comprising of Ms. Anita Roy, Addl.DCP-I/North District, Shri Akshat Kaushal, ACP/Kotwali and the subordinate staff deployed on the parade route for the safe movement of Tableaux immediately responded. Instantly, a tie-up was done with all concerned agencies i.e. CATS Ambulance, Fire, BDS team, etc.

First of all, the spot of the incident was evacuated and cordoned off. 10 CAT Ambulances, Fire Tender, MPVs, BDS team, AS check teams & Striking Reserve Force timely reached the spot.  04 injured persons were immediately rushed to the nearby hospitals in 04 ambulances. Out of the 4 victims, 03 injured persons were admitted to Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital, Tirath Ram Hospital and Saint Stephen Hospital and one injured was admitted at Trauma Centre. BDS and AS Check team immediately took the necessary action and neutralized the threat. The Tableaux were safely and timely diverted to the contingency route.
