New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organized a “Prabhat Pheri” of primary classes’ students of NDMC and Navyug Schools to commemorate ‘Bharat Chhoro Andolan” Diwas in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Lodhi Garden, New Delhi, today.
The Prabhat Pheri was flagged off by NDMC- Vice Chairman, Shri Satish Upadhyay in the presence of Shri RP Sati, Director (Education), Shri RP Gupta, Director (Event Management), Shri Rais Ali, Director (Horticulture), teachers, parents, morning walkers and joggers.
Before flagging off the Prabhat Pheri, Shri Upadhyay recalled the sacrifice of freedom fighters and said that August 8th is the day when it was decided to start “Quit India Movement” 9th August, 1942, commemorating “Kakori Conspiracy” which was took place on 9th August, 1925. The Kakori Conspiracy was executed by great freedom fighters Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Rajendra Lahiri, Chandra Shekhar Azad and others.
Shri Upadhyay informed that all Indians are celebrating 75th anniversary of Independence of India with an eye on next 25 years to make the India superpower in the world. He appreciated students who have come with Tiranga and Tricolour Balloons. He reminded the gathering that Tiranga-National Flag is the symbol of our freedom struggle and sacrifice of our heroes. He also stressed upon that it is the onus of each person to preserve our hard earned liberty and perform their duty in the sense of National Integrity and its continue development.
As many as 500 primary classes’ students of six NDMC and Navyug Schools of Lodhi Road, Jor Bagh and Lodhi Estate participated with National Flag and Tri colour balloons in full enthusiasm. They shouted slogans of “Vande Matram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” through entire route covered in Prabhat Pheri. Same students were also carrying the musical instruments like Drum, Dhapli and Bigul and played patriotic tunes during the Prabhat Pheri. Earlier, the students performed patriotic song before Prabhat Pheri.
The Prabhat Pheri of NDMC schools students will be continued till 15th August, 2022 by each school around their nearby area to create awareness about Har Ghar Tiranga.
NDMC is organising various activities to promote “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav like Cycle Rally, Cultural activities, quiz competition, painting competition, SWANidhi, motivational messages displayed on LED and digital screens, Hordings, Banners, Posters displayed at various public places.
The Vision of “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign is to unify the nation and remember the freedom struggle of the country by instilling patriotism in the hearts of citizens. The campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga” envisages that every citizen of the country must bring the National Flag at home and unfurl it.
