NDMC Vice-Chairman launches intensive vector borne disease prevention drive at AIIMS, Delhi.

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council Vice Chairman, Shri Satish Upadhyay launched an intensive drive for prevention of Vector-Borne Disease, especially for Dengue Awareness at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi today morning. This drive was launched due to increasing cases of Vector-Borne disease at AIIMS.

NDMC Vice Chairman, Shri Upadhyay informed that NDMC regularly conducted anti larva checking drive, in which teams have been visited house to house and site to site in New Delhi area. He appealed to the all residents and visitors of New Delhi area to co-operate the civic body in its activities to contain vector borne diseases.

He also further said that it is very clear that without the support from general public as well as from others like Hospitals, government and non-government offices, it will be very difficult to check the the mosquito breeding.

Dr Ramesh, MOH, Dr Gunjan Sahai, CMO along with Sanitary Inspector and Assistant Sanitary of area and Malaria Workers were participated in the drive at Hostel Complex 1 to 13 of AIIMS , New Delhi.

Prof Biswas of Medicine Department and Prof Anil Goswami, Nodal officer for prevention and control at AIIMS also participated in the program.
