New Zealand’s PM took vaccine against Corona

Wellington | New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in Auckland on Friday. According to the Xinhua news agency report, Ardern said that it is easier to get the vaccine than to get the flu vaccine.

She added, “I was not the first person to get vaccinated, but I wanted to be a role model. The reason I decided to get vaccinated at this moment was to do my part in showing that I consider it safe for myself and that it is important in keeping others safe as well. On

Thursday, plans for a vaccine rollout to the general public of New Zealand were announced. Here people above 60 years of age will be vaccinated from July 28 and those above 55 years of age will be vaccinated from August 11.

Our vaccination program is ahead of plan, Ardern said. About one million doses have been given and work is being done at the rate of 107% to achieve the target.

He also said that every eligible citizen of New Zealand will have the opportunity to be vaccinated by the end of the year.
