OnePlus 8, 8 Pro gets new security patches with bug fixes

NEW DELHI:Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus has launched a new OxygenOS update for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone users in India. This update is accompanied by an August 2020 security patch with a couple of bug fixes.

In addition to improving the August 2020 security patch level, this update will also improve stability.

This also fixes the overlapping character display issue, along with the spectacular display and other known issues, the XDA developers report said.

There is also a brief mention of better shooting effects with a front-facing camera, but not much information has been given on this matter.

The firmware version of the new update for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is OxygenOS 10.5.13 in India and OxygenOS 10.5.12 in Europe.

The company is rolling out these updates in batches.

The security patch of August 2020 has already been introduced for Pixel devices and Samsung smartphones.
