Rahul Gandhi to visit 3 election states in three days

New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will start his second round of campaigning from February 4 in view of the assembly elections in five states. Rahul will visit Goa, Uttarakhand and Punjab and campaign for the party. First of all, Rahul Gandhi will reach Goa on his second election tour on 4 February. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had addressed a public meeting in October. However, after the announcement of the elections, this is Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to Goa. During his visit to Goa on February 4, Gandhi will interact with tourism sector representatives, Anganwadi workers and others. Apart from this, he will address the workers’ meetings and guide the Congress candidates for the assembly elections to be held on February 14 in the state.

After Goa, Rahul Gandhi will be on the Uttarakhand tour on 5 February. Polling in Uttarakhand is to be held on February 14. During this tour, Rahul will reach both Garhwal and Kumaon places to campaign for the party. This will be Rahul Gandhi’s second visit to Uttarakhand. Earlier, he had addressed an election rally at Parade Ground in Dehradun. However, then the Election Commission did not announce the dates for the elections. According to the party, Rahul Gandhi will also connect with the people of Haridwar through virtual mediums during this period.

After Uttarakhand, Rahul Gandhi will be on a tour of Punjab on 6 February. It is expected that during this time Rahul can announce the party’s chief ministerial face. Earlier, on January 27, during his last visit to Punjab, Rahul Gandhi had announced that the Congress party would soon contest the Punjab Assembly elections with a chief ministerial face. He had said that a decision on this would be taken after consulting party workers.

However, at this time there is a ruckus in Punjab regarding the post of CM in Congress. There is an atmosphere of commotion between Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Sunil Jakhar and State President Navjot Singh Sidhu. Even waiting for the chief ministerial face, Sidhu has left the election campaign and gone to Vaishno Devi.

Meanwhile, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has also held discussions with party leaders and workers on the chief ministerial candidate. According to sources, the party is taking feedback from Congress leaders and workers about the Chief Minister’s face through its Shakti App. The party has also sought public opinion on the issue and the process has started in the last two days.
