Lucknow, 6 October A mahapanchayat of farmers and laborers was organized in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, in which a large number of farmers reached Eco Garden. This mahapanchayat was organized regarding the demand of the farmers. During this, he reacted to the exit poll released after the Haryana assembly elections.
Reacting to the exit poll released after the Haryana assembly elections, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that the government in Haryana has been settled, it has lost.
It is known that in the exit poll, the BJP is seen far away from the majority figure and the Congress government is seen forming in the state. However, the BJP claims that the exit polls will prove wrong and only the BJP government will be formed in the state.
Rakesh Tikait further said that at present the crops of the farmers are being looted and their lands are also under threat. The circle rate is not increasing. In Lucknow, it is said that the payment has been made, but this is not true on the ground. He said that through the Mahapanchayat, farmers will gather and convey their views to the government. It is important to talk about farmers’ issues and we have to ensure that our demands are worthy of being heard.”
Tikait also suggested writing a letter to the government on the issue of MSP (Minimum Support Price). He said that the state government should write a letter to the Government of India on this subject, so that our rights can be protected. He further said that he will meet the Chief Secretary and officials.
