New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Vice Chairman, Shri Satish Upadhyay informed today that Beautification and Redevelopment works of ancient Hanuman Mandir outer premises – ” Hanuman Vatika ” at Connaught Place, New Delhi is going on full swing.
Shri Upadhyay further said that hundred percent beautification & redevelopment work of Hanuman Mandir Vatika is under the vision of the Prime Minister’ as “Swachh Bharat Mission” and celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence as ” Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. While giving the details about the project, he informed that there is a facility of ultra-modern toilet block with all modern amenities having bathrooms for devotees and monks visiting the temple.
He explained the work of scope that includes beautification and redevelopment work including the all over footpath having granite flooring, the old tiles replaced with granite, jaisalmer marble cladding, old blocked drainage system replaced with new drainage system and it will cover with granite stone, modernized and renovated shoe house provision for devotees, old tree guard replaced with shininess stainless-steel, 24×7 drinking water provision also for the visitors and old lighting replaced with new one.
Shri Upadhyay informed that the “Green Toilet Block” will be made on the pattern of having a facility for ladies, gents, transgender and physically abled person. The toilet block will be no maintenance and the Long-Life toilet block having dual piping system. Considering womens and children there will be a facility of “Sanitary Vending Machine”, “Feeding Chamber & Diaper Changing facility” for the newborn babies. Keeping in mind that water is life, efforts are being made to make 100% Green Toilet by saving and reusing water. There will be a provision of a water cooler inside and the water usage will fully on the process of recycling.
He said that NDMC is also planning the other pipeline work for the Hanuman Mandir Vaitak i.e. STPs in these modern toilet block, Mechanical Sweeping on the pattern of airports, installation of Informative Boards having directions for Dos and Don’ts and general awareness messages to the visitors. Tenders for the same are already floated and the work will start soon for the same.
Shri Upadhyay said the project will be continuously under monitoring with the help of stakeholders and NDMC’s senior officers. He informed that the project will be completed soon in stipulated time bound manner by the dedicated project team.
Shri Upadhyay earlier carried out an inspection with HODs and senior officials of NDMC along with the trustee of Hanuman Mandir. While going through that inspection he found that some of the places outside the mandir required minor and major repair works. It is also observed that a toilet block is required as an essential amenities outside, as a large number of devotees visiting the Mandir frequently.
Shri Upadhyay hopes that the work will be beneficial for the shopkeepers, devotee visitors and trustees of the temple and they will avail ultra-modern facilities provided by the municipality very shortly. Shri Upadhyay himself regularly visiting and monitoring this project and take the feedback and suggestions time-to-time from the visitors for better development of Hanuman Vatika premises.
