Srinagar | The weather in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh saw improvement on Thursday. The Meteorological Department here has predicted dry weather till at least 21 February. “Both maximum and minimum temperatures continue to rise in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The weather is expected to remain dry for the next ten days,” said an official of the meteorological department.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature in Srinagar was minus 0.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 14.4 degrees Celsius.
In Pahalgam, Thursday’s minimum temperature was recorded at minus 4.1 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The temperature in Gulmarg remained at minus 4.2 degrees Celsius, while the temperature chart of the Meteorological Department yesterday did not record the maximum temperature of Gulmarg.
Leh in Ladakh recorded a minimum night temperature of minus 10.4 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 13.4 degrees Celsius and Drass minus 18.5 degrees Celsius.
Jammu recorded a minimum temperature of 11.2, Katra 10.1, Batot 5.9, Banihal 2.2 and Bhaderwah 2.7 degrees Celsius.
