New Delhi| As many as 3,594 new Covid-19 cases have been registered in Delhi on Friday. This is the highest number of cases reported on a single day this year in the national capital. According to a bulletin issued by the Department of Health, after the new cases, the total number of corona cases in Delhi has reached 6,68,814. In addition to 3594 new cases during the last 24 hours, 14 people have also lost their lives.
A total of 2,084 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. At present, the number of active cases in Delhi was 11,994.
The overall positivity rate in the national capital is 4.54 percent.
According to the bulletin, a total of 87,505 tests have been conducted in the capital during the last 24 hours. This includes 54,898 RT-PCR and 32,607 rapid antigen tests.
Delhi had 2,790 cases on Thursday, while 1,819 new cases were registered on Wednesday. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed concern over the rising pace of Corona. However, he made it clear on Friday that the government was not considering a plan for a lockdown in the city again.
