125 new cases of Covid in Delhi

New Delhi | On Wednesday, 125 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the capital, which is the highest in the last six months. According to the health department, 134 Covid cases were registered in the city on June 22. The capital city has seen a steady increase in cases since the outbreak of the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus. However, no Covid-related death has been reported in the last 24 hours. The total death toll in Delhi is 25,102. However, the total number of infected in the city has gone up to 14,42,515.

The number of active cases has also seen an increase of 624, which is the highest in the last five months. According to the Delhi Health Department data, there were a total of 657 active cases in the city as of July 16.

Delhi’s Covid infection rate has remained at 0.2 percent in the last two days. With 58 patients recovering in a day, the total number of people recovering has gone up to 14,16,789. Presently a total of 289 Covid patients are being treated in home isolation.

The active Covid rate in Delhi is 0.043 percent with a recovery rate of 98.21 percent. The death rate of Covid in the city is 1.74 percent. The total number of Covid Containment Zones in the city has increased to 184.

Meanwhile, a total of 63,313 new tests, 56,511 RT-PCR and 6,802 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Due to which the total number of Covid tests has gone up to 3,21,64,981 so far.

In the last 24 hours, out of 1,17,481 vaccines, 37,295 were administered in the national capital as first dose and 80,186-second dose. As per the health ministry data, the total number of immunization beneficiaries so far is 2,51,08,956.
