New Delhi | On Thursday, 15,097 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Delhi, which is 41 percent more than the previous day. This is the highest number of cases in a single day since May 8, when 17,364 cases were registered. With the new cases, the total number of infections in the city has gone up to 14,89,463. A total of 6 Kovid deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 25,127.
Meanwhile, the Covid infection in the city has gone up to 15.34 percent, which is the highest in the last eight months. According to the Delhi Health Department, the positivity rate in the city was recorded at 17.02 percent on May 12.
The number of active COVID cases has increased to 31,498 since May 21. According to the Health Department, Delhi recorded the highest number of active COVID cases at 35,683 on that day.
With a COVID recovery rate of 96.19 percent, the active COVID case rate in Delhi has gone up to 2.11 percent and the death rate continues to stand at 1.69 percent.
With 2,239 patients getting cured in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone up to 14,25,938. At present, a total of 11,551 Kovid patients are undergoing treatment in home isolation.
The number of covid Containment Zones has increased to 5,168.
Meanwhile, out of a total of 98,434 new tests – 80,051 RT-PCR and 18,383 rapid antigen tests – were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of tests to 3,31,86,347.
In the last 24 hours, out of 1,41,498 vaccines, 89,945 first doses and 51,553-second doses were administered. According to the health bulletin, the total number of immunization beneficiaries so far has gone up to 2,69,97,543.
