The national capital’s lifeline metro services, which were suspended following an unprecedented spike in Covid cases, will resume with 50 percent seating capacity for the general public from Monday, according to the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). directed on Saturday.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Corporation, in a public notice issued before resuming its services, said that only half of the available trains will be inducted into service with a frequency of around 5 to 15 minutes on different lines.

The DMRC on Saturday said that no passenger will be allowed to stand inside the metro rail and only 50 percent seating will be allowed inside trains to ensure social distancing and compliance.
From Wednesday, more trains will be available on their own schedule.
