AAP leader Satyendra Jain granted bail in money laundering case

New Delhi, October 18  Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain was granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court on Friday in the money laundering case. He has been granted conditional bail on a bond of Rs 50,000. At present, he has been barred from leaving the country.

Earlier, he was granted bail in May last year due to health reasons. Then he was on bail for 10 months. This year, his regular bail was heard in the Supreme Court. After this, the court had asked him to surrender. After this, he surrendered in the court on March 18.

ED had opposed Satyendra Jain’s bail. But, the court said that he has already served such a long sentence. In such a situation, it would not be appropriate to keep him in jail. At the same time, Jain’s wife, who was present in the court premises, cried after getting bail from the court.

Meanwhile, the court categorically stated that Satyendra Jain will neither meet any witness related to the case nor try to influence any evidence, nor travel outside the country. Jain’s lawyer said that there is no justification for keeping his client in custody now. No purpose will be served by that.

On May 30, 2022, the ED arrested him in a money laundering case.

It is worth noting that Satyendra Jain has got bail at a time when only a few months are left for the assembly elections in Delhi. Preparations for the election have intensified. In such a situation, the coming out of Satyendra Jain will give new momentum to the Aam Aadmi Party in the campaign.

Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have got bail in the Delhi liquor scam case. Now after Satyendra Jain got bail, an atmosphere of enthusiasm is being seen in the Aam Aadmi Party.
