All people traveling must have a COVID 19 negative certificate. “The pilgrims will be cross-checked for the virus before they are allowed to start the journey to Jammu and Kashmir,” a SASB official said. The Yatra 2020 will only pass through the North Kashmir Baltal route. Officials said, “No pilgrims will be allowed to travel through Pahalgam route this year.” The Yatra 2020 will conclude on 3 August on Shravan Purnima, the day of the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
