Atishi wrote a letter to the election officer, made serious allegations against Ramesh Bidhuri’s nephew

New Delhi, January 21 . Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Kalkaji Atishi has written a letter to the election officer accusing BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and his workers of hooliganism. She has also demanded paramilitary force.

Atishi has written that I want to bring to your attention by writing this letter that on January 20, an “AAP” worker has been intimidated and threatened in Gali No. 1, Govindpuri, Kalkaji. The “AAP” worker was verbally and physically threatened by some BJP workers.

She accused BJP members including Kunal Bhardwaj, Manish, Rishabh Bidhuri (BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri’s nephew) of threatening AAP workers Sanjay Gupta and others, using abusive language, grabbing their collars and threatening to cause physical harm. “AAP” workers were told to “sit at home, your hands and legs will be broken”, “this is our home election”. AAP workers present there also captured a video of a part of the fight on mobile.

She has written that a similar dispute took place three-four days ago, where BJP workers slapped an Aam Aadmi Party worker who was campaigning door to door. She has alleged that BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri is publicly making indecent and insulting statements about me during the election campaign. Despite the news appearing in the media, no action has been taken against him. This has indicated that BJP leaders and workers will not be punished for misbehavior. This is the reason why this violence and threat has started.

Aatishi has written that BJP workers are openly threatening AAP volunteers without any fear. The worrying thing is that if BJP workers are being so aggressive on AAP workers, then one can imagine how much impact they will have on the voters living in these areas. Such violence and aggression is a threat to free and fair elections in Kalkaji constituency. Immediate action should be taken against BJP workers and security forces should be deployed in Kalkaji constituency to ensure safety of Aam Aadmi Party workers.
