Mumbai: Luv Gill’s official team has responded to the allegations leveled against her and the treatment she has received as a contestant on the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 20’. In an official statement, the team has strongly condemned the character assassination of Luv Gill on national television and questioned the double standards prevalent in society.
In the recent ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode of ‘Bigg Boss 20’, Kashvi Hiranandani—the girlfriend of YouTuber ‘Scout OP’—entered the house and lashed out at both Scout and Luv Gill. Rohit Shetty, who stepped in as host for the episode in place of Salman Khan, had previously raised questions regarding the growing closeness between Scout and Luv Gill; following this, Kashvi confronted both of them.
Addressing the remarks made about Luv Gill during ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’, her team has issued a statement via an Instagram story. They wrote, “There is a limit to what a person can endure; beyond that point, even silence turns into a scream. Watching Love Gill all alone on television—while her character was being torn to shreds and she was unable to defend herself—was deeply painful. Her family is shattered, completely broken. Just imagine how difficult it must be for a mother, sitting at home, to watch the world defame her daughter. Consider the fact that she is being held responsible for a man’s feelings, while opportunistic influencers and those hungry for followers exploit her pain to create content for likes, views, and headlines. Have we completely lost our humanity? Do we not even care about the toll it takes on someone when they are tormented to such an extent?”
They further wrote, “From the very first day, Love Gill’s boundaries were clear; to her, Scout was like a brother. The moment a man blurred those boundaries and confessed his love, society revealed its double standards and placed the blame on the woman.”
Love Gill’s team states that she was humiliated during this ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode. They wrote, “Tonight, Love Gill didn’t just stand there in silence; she witnessed the public assassination of her character. She deserved to be heard, respected, and kept safe. Instead, she was humiliated. No woman should ever have to pay the price for a man’s choices. No family should ever have to watch their child break down like this. Love Gill deserved empathy, not cruelty. She deserved justice, not character assassination.”
