BJP’s mission 2022 begins in UP with the joining of Jitin Prasada

New Delhi | Ahead of next year’s Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the BJP broke into the Congress and broke the Brahmin face and former Union minister Jitin Prasada. By joining Jitin Prasad, BJP has started Mission 2022. Sources say that in the coming time, a woman leader of Congress from Uttar Pradesh can also join BJP. Through the recruitment of prominent leaders of other parties, the BJP is in the mood to give the message that the election wind is in its favor. The BJP wants to gain a psychological edge by breaking the leaders of other parties.

Jitin Prasad, who was the Union Minister of State in both the terms of the Manmohan Singh government, was running angry in Congress for a long time. Sources say that even before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was in the mood to join the BJP. However, then Priyanka Gandhi was successful in persuading him. Despite this, he decided to leave the Congress and go to the BJP due to a lack of due attention in the decisions of the party. While inducting Jitin Prasada into the party at the BJP headquarters on Wednesday, Union Minister Piyush Goyal hinted at his important role in the politics of Uttar Pradesh.

It is believed that through Jitin Prasada, the BJP will try to woo the Brahmins. The alleged persecution of Brahmins in the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is made an issue by the opposition, including the Samajwadi Party. In such a situation, the party is trying to give a message to the Brahmins through Jitin Prasada. While in Congress, Jitin Prasad has also been running an organization to unite Brahmins. In Uttar Pradesh, about ten percent of Brahmin votes play a decisive role in the victory and defeat of the parties. A BJP leader told, “Jitin Prasad is an established face of politics. They have energy. He has experience working in several ministries as a minister in the UPA government. In this way, BJP will benefit from the arrival of political and administrative experienced Jitin.

After joining BJP, Jitin Prasad said that he was not able to work for his people while in Congress. He found that BJP is the only true nationalist party. Inspired by the works of Prime Minister Modi, he decided to join BJP.

Talking about Jitin’s political journey, he started his political career from the youth wing of Congress. He won for the first time in 2004 by contesting the Lok Sabha elections from his home constituency Shahjahanpur. After this, he became the Union State Steel Minister in the year 2008 in the Manmohan Singh government. In 2009, the seat changed due to delimitation and Jitin had to contest from Dhaurhara for the 15th Lok Sabha. He won from here too and then remained a minister in the Manmohan Singh government. In the UPA government, he was a minister in the ministry of road construction and highways, human resources, steel. In the year 2014, he lost the Lok Sabha elections from Dhaurahra, after which he contested the assembly elections in 2017 and then faced defeat. He was also defeated in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
