Bulandshahr Gang Rape suicide news: In Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, the victim of gang rape committed suicide after police delayed action. The family has blamed the inaction of the police for this. The 19-year-old victim was a law student, who committed suicide on Monday. She leaves behind a suicide note in which she narrates her tragic tale.
According to the note, the victim said that on 3 October, she was abducted by a young man named Kamaruddin and three of his friends. The victim alleged that she was then gang-raped.
The victim lodged a complaint at Anoopshahar Police Station. She said that Kamaruddin apologized to her and also offered to marry her, after which she decided not to go ahead with the complaint.
On 16 October, Kamaruddin and his friends again gang-raped her and the police registered a case on her complaint on 24 October but no action was taken against the accused.
The victim’s father told local journalists that her daughter committed suicide because she was troubled by police inaction.
Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Kumar Singh said that the matter is being investigated and the investigating officer, who apparently delayed the investigation in his complaint, has been suspended.
He said, “The role of Inspector and Circle Officer of Anupshahar is being investigated by SP Crime and action will be taken if found guilty. –
