Central government is working in the interest of farmers: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

New Delhi, October 17 . The Economic Affairs Committee of the Union Cabinet has decided to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Rabi crops for 2025-26. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted to this decision of the Central Government.

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a conversation with the media on Thursday that the leaders of Bharatiya Kisan Union Chaudhary Charan Singh were invited, many topics related to farmers and farming were discussed with them in a serious manner. The efforts made for the farmers so far have also been discussed. This also includes the decision to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Rabi crops.

He said that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is constantly working in the interests of farmers. In today’s meeting, the leaders of Bharatiya Kisan Union Chaudhary Charan Singh were also informed about this. Dialogue with farmers is very useful and important. He said that a model should be made for agriculture, in which small farmers should be informed about modern farming techniques. Apart from this, in the meeting, farmers raised issues related to providing water to the fields, use of fertilizers, maintaining soil health and damage caused by natural disaster.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that farmer leaders have also suggested promoting Shri Anna Yojana. They have suggested many other topics, which will be seriously considered and worked upon. Many topics are related to the state government, which will be sent to the state governments and we will take action together on issues related to the central government.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated Naib Singh Saini on the swearing-in of the new government in Haryana. He said that I congratulate Naib Singh Saini and all the ministers involved in his government.
