Beijing,. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wanpin said in a regular press conference on Monday that China congratulates the inauguration of the new Palestinian government led by Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa.
China urges the international community to support the enhancement of the prestige of the Palestinian National Authority and supports the completion of internal reconciliation and the work of the new government through consultation with various political parties in Palestine.
Keep in mind that the new government of Palestine took the oath of office on March 31. New Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa had earlier said that the priority of the new government was to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and increase humanitarian relief.
Wang Wanpin stressed that China will work with the international community to maintain a ceasefire and enhance the protection of civilians so as to contribute to de-escalation of current tensions and a two-state solution to the Palestine issue.
