Demonstration of Covid Negative Report mandatory for travelers from 5 states in Delhi

New Delhi | In view of the renewed increase in Covid cases in many states, Delhi government is likely to make it mandatory for travelers coming from Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab to show the Kovid Negative Test Report from Friday night. Sources gave this information. Sources said that this step has been taken for the passengers coming from flights, buses, trains, personal transport of five states.

The new rules will be implemented by the Aam Aadmi Party government from Saturday and will run till March 15.

This step has come because in the last week, 86 percent of new virus cases have been reported from these states. Officials in these states will be asked to verify the Kovid negative reports from tests conducted up to 72 hours before the flight before allowing passengers to leave for Delhi.

Maharashtra and Kerala account for 75 percent of the country’s current active cases following the sudden rise of new infections in recent times.

According to the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 5,210 new cases on Tuesday, followed by Kerala (2,212) and Tamil Nadu (449). There were 18 deaths in Maharashtra, followed by 16 in Kerala and 15 in Punjab from Corona.
