Siddharth Nagar (UP)| Eight people were killed and four others were seriously injured when an SUV car rammed into a parked trailer on Naugarh-Bansi road in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar district on Sunday. All the passengers in the car were part of a wedding party. According to reports, the passengers were returning after attending a wedding in Mahla village. Apparently, the driver fell asleep and the vehicle rammed into the trailer.
Sources said that the collision was so strong that the car was completely damaged. Local people who reached the spot informed the police and helped in the rescue work.
The injured have been admitted to the hospital while the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officials to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
