KR Mangalam University organised its 6th Convocation

KR Mangalam University held its 6th Convocation at its lush green campus, Sohna road, Gurugram. Governor of Haryana Shri Bandaru Dattatraya graced the convocation as the chief guest and addressed the ceremony.

Honourable Governor, Shri Bandaru Dattatraya told the graduates about the importance of dedication, discipline, devotion, sacrifice and to be useful for community in the field of education and society at large. He highlighted the importance of the National Education Policy 2020 and appreciated the University for implementing the key elements of National Education Policy which are innovation, technology and research. He was happy to see a large number of female students being conferred degree including gold medals and PhD degrees.

He specially told students not only to be a job seeker but to become an entrepreneur or employer to provide jobs to other and also encouraged them to be useful in the service of underprivileged and needy citizen of the country. He also emphasized on the character building as the most desirable asset beyond money, health and fame

Total 565 degrees conferred during the convocation, including 34 Ph.D. degrees (12 male, 22 female), 136 postgraduate degrees (71 male, 65 female), 364 undergraduate degrees (207 male, 157 female), and 31 diploma degrees (21 male, 10 female). On this occasion, 21 students (2 male, 19 female) honoured with gold medals for their outstanding performance in their respective academic disciplines.
The Chancellor of the University and Vice-Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir State Higher Education Council, Padma Shri Professor Dinesh Singh said our vision is not just for today, but for Viksit Bharat 2047, an India that flourishes with knowledge, prosperity, and boundless possibilities. As we champion a young university and a young education system, we embark on a transformative journey, cultivating an environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Professor Rakesh Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, K.R. Mangalam University had presented the annual report of the university for the session 2022-2023, highlighting the key activities and innovative new courses in the tune of National Education Policy.

The grand ceremony ended with an oath taking by all graduates followed by National Anthem and academic procession.
