No serious case registered against Omicron so far, situation under control: Satyendar Jain

New Delhi | Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Saturday that at present the situation of Covid-19 in the national capital is under control. Jain said, “Delhi government is ready to fight any form of covid with full force. We have the proper infrastructure to treat patients and prevent the spread of coronavirus.”

The Health Minister said that according to experts, the Omicron form is less dangerous than the Delta and hence the patients do not need to be hospitalized. He said that at this time no Omicron patient needs oxygen.

“Prevention is better than cure and people need to protect themselves at all times,” he said.

He said, “Delhi has suitable and adequate infrastructure and immunization centers to vaccinate 3 lakh, people, daily. Delhi government is fully prepared to vaccinate adolescents in the age group of 15-18 years of Delhi. We have There is a full stock of booster doses available to vaccinate people.”

He claimed that keeping in mind the prevailing situation, more than 3,000 beds have already been made for the children. All health workers are being given proper training and instructions for the treatment of coronavirus. He added that there is no separate treatment for different forms of the virus.

Jain said, “People are demanding an Omicron test these days. This is to inform them that Omicron information is only needed by the government and policymakers, to ensure that the system works accordingly. Patients are exposed to the virus. Nothing new will be known about the redesign of K because the treatment process for other variants is exactly the same as for Omicron.”
