Vaccine shortage in Delhi, the stock is left for three-four days: Satyendra Jain

New Delhi| Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain visited the 400-bed Kovid Care and Treatment Center at Gurdwara Rakabganj on Monday. During this, the Health Minister said that we are very short of vaccines. Covaxin stock is left for one day and Covishield stock is left for three-four days. Satyendra Jain said that Delhi Government will provide all medical facilities including medicine and staff to the Covid Care and Treatment Center. The center is attached to the LNJP. I thank the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for providing the space for the center.

He said that there is a ray of hope regarding the control of Corona. In Delhi, the infection rate has come down from 26 to around 20 percent and cases are also coming down by half, but still, we have to leave no stone unturned in our preparations and need to be vigilant in every way.

After taking stock of the Covid Care and Treatment Center, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that a 400-bed Covid Care and Treatment Center is being started in Rakabganj Gurdwara in collaboration with the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. The center has been given all kinds of support on behalf of the Delhi government.

The center is attached to the LNJP Hospital. If the patients of this center are in serious health, then they will be immediately shifted to LNJP Hospital.

Appealing to the people, the Health Minister said that whoever needs to get corona treatment can come here and get treatment. Apart from this, centers have also been opened in many other places in Delhi. Anyone who is ill, does not wait for oxygen, he can be admitted to the center. We do not have the problem of beds. If anyone is required, they will be immediately shifted to the ICU.

Health Minister said that a few days ago there were more than 28 thousand cases in Delhi, but now around 13 thousand cases are coming in Delhi. Earlier the transition rate was 26 percent, now it has come down to around 20 percent. So now it seems that the corona will be under control soon.

Regarding the provision of oxygen for the additional ICU beds being increased in Delhi, the Health Minister said that we were assuming that the entire oxygen allocated to Delhi would start and we also got more than 700 metric tons of oxygen a day. We still hope that the central government will give us complete oxygen. We are confident about this.

He said that the temporary Assiu hospital being constructed at Ramlila Maidan will start very soon.
