Sonia Gandhi to set up a committee to consider electoral defeat

New Delhi| Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has decided to set up a fact-finding committee (Fact-Finding Committee) to find out the reasons for the party’s defeat in four states in the recently held assembly elections. After the Congress Working Committee meeting on Monday, party general secretary K.K. C. Venugopal said, the committee will be formed within 48 hours.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi was not present in this meeting, as he is still recovering from Kovid-19. During the meeting, Sonia Gandhi said, I intend to set up a small panel to look at every aspect.

Sonia said that I have to understand why we failed to remove the current governments in Kerala and Assam and why we did not even open our account in Bengal?

The CWC meeting has been called to discuss the results of the recently held assembly elections. We have to focus on our serious failures.

He said that we need to take cognizance of these serious tremors. There will be some uncomfortable lessons of these questions, but if we do not face the reality, if we do not see the facts correctly, we will not take the right lesson.

It would be less to say that we are very disappointed. My intention is to form a small group to look into every aspect that has been caused by these tremors and a report should be taken from it very soon.
