Uttar Pradesh is playing a big role in self-reliance of Defense sector: PM Modi

Kanpur, May 30 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that it is a matter of pride for the entire Uttar Pradesh that it is playing a big role in the self-reliance of the country’s defense sector. A safe environment for investment is created in the state.

The Prime Minister said this while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several development projects in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This also includes the inauguration of the Chunniganj to Kanpur Central Metro Station section of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project costing more than Rs 2,120 crore.

He said that just like there is an old ordinance factory in Kanpur, the government has converted seven such ordinance factories into big modern companies. The infrastructure, facilities, resources that are available in big metro cities, are now visible in our Kanpur as well. Kanpur Metro is a proof of how sincere efforts are made for the development of the country and the state if there is a government with right intentions, strong will and good intentions. At a time when traditional industries were migrating, now big companies of the defense sector are coming there. Production of AK 203 rifles has started in Amethi nearby. The new address of the Brahmos missile that did not let the enemies sleep in ‘Operation Sindoor’ is also Uttar Pradesh.

He said that today the youth are wanting to start their own industry, so they are getting money under the Mudra scheme. We are creating a new environment for new industries here. The traditional leather industries of Kanpur are being strengthened. Kanpur as well as all the districts of Uttar Pradesh will get its benefit.

He said that Kanpur Central will also look world class like the airport. Our government is renovating more than 150 stations under the Amrit Bharat Yojana. Uttar Pradesh is now moving ahead in every field. Earlier it was identified by broken potholes, now it is identified by expressways. Who can know better than Kanpur how Uttar Pradesh has changed? In a few days, the journey through Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway will take 40 to 45 minutes. Connectivity to Purvanchal Expressway will also be available from Lucknow. It will also be connected to Ganga Expressway.

He said that taking Kanpur to new heights of development is the priority of the “double engine government”. Kanpur’s old glory will return again.
