Well coronavirus outbreak cannot be blamed as disaster only but also a lesson. It has brought us in that stage of life where everyone has started to value basic needs of life.
On 12th May,2020 at 8.20 pm our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in his 20 mins speech had introduced a term “Atmanirbhar”. Though everyone are familiar with this word but this time “Atmanirbhar” got another level of coverage. Atmanirbhar means self-reliant. “Atmanirbhar” word becomes in limelight only after 12th May,2020 but practicing it in real life started prior from its announcement i.e.24th March,2020 when the unplanned lockdown was imposed in India.
Before Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan this government has launched the ‘Make in India Initiative’ on 25 Sept, 2014 in order to give thrust to the manufacturing sector’s growth rate to 12-14% per annum, but the initiative has failed to achieve its objective due to various reason
How ‘Make in India’ is different from ‘Atmanirbhar’?
Well Make in India was scheme which was launched with a proper plan but Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan is a narrative only. Make in India was scheme where Atmanirbhar is a bailout package only where PM has announced a special economic package of Rs. 20 lakh crore and he invoke for Atmanirbhar Bharat. Even government is also clueless that how to make India Atmanirbhar.
As #BoycottChina has given another burden on this Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. We have to see now how government makes Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan more effective.
