NEW DELHI | Home Minister Amit Shah himself has taken the command on behalf of the Modi government to resolve the ‘Delhi Chalo’ movement of the farmers of Punjab. This is the second time in a month that Home Minister Amit Shah has intervened and tried to remove the deadlock from the farmers’ movement. Home Minister Amit Shah offered to talk to the agitating farmers at the earliest on Saturday. He appealed to the farmers to gather at the ground set at Burari. It is a different matter that farmers have turned down this offer at the moment. Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday to campaign for the municipal elections. As soon as he comes back from Hyderabad to New Delhi, there can be fast decisions from the government to resolve the farmers’ movement.

Confident sources told that Home Minister Amit Shah is engaged in giving necessary guidelines along with discussing with Punjab BJP leaders and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on the subject of resolving the farmers’ agitation.

According to BJP leaders, Home Minister Amit Shah is the strongest face in the Modi government, in such a way his appeal can have more impact than others. This agitation of farmers can be solved easily with the intervention of Home Minister Amit Shah.

A senior BJP leader said “Congress MPs from Punjab also ask for help from Home Minister Amit Shah if needed. Earlier, Congress MPs had met Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene regarding rail services. . ”

The rail roko movement started in Punjab after three new agricultural laws were enacted in September. The operation of trains was halted due to the rail track being disrupted for two months. After which Congress MP Jasbir Singh Gill, Gurjit Singh Aujla etc. met with Home Minister Amit Shah. In a meeting with the delegation of Congress MPs, Home Minister Amit Shah assured the resumption of rail services. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal was also present in this meeting. On the initiative of Home Minister Amit Shah, from the last week of November, rail services in Punjab were able to start smoothly after two months. In such a situation, it is believed that with the intervention of Home Minister Amit Shah, the agitation of the farmers can be resolved soon.
