New Delhi: With the arrest of one notorious auto-lifter cum snatcher namely, Imran @ Putki s/o Mohd. Arif r/o Jhuggi, Mangal Bazaar Chowk, Jahangirpuri, Delhi (aged 24 years), team of special arrest solved 03 theft cases by recovering 3 stolen two-wheelers (1 Bike & 2 Scooties). Accused found to be habitual & active criminal, previously found involved in 7 cases of snatching, arms act & theft. He recently came out from jail on bail on 18.11.21 and is facing trial in another 4 snatching cases of PS Mahendra Park.
In order to curb crime & criminals in the area of North-West District, Special Staff was directed to keep close vigil over suspicious persons in the area. On 25.03.2022, at about 6.30 PM, a credible information was received regarding a notorious criminal that he is roaming in the area in order to commit snatching. Immediately, a team comprising of SI Dinesh Beniwal, ASI Suresh, HC Devender, Ct. Pradeep, Ct. Deepak & Ct. Sagar was constituted and positioned at Mangal Bazaar road, Jahangirpuri under the close supervision of Insp. Amit Kumar, ATO/ PS Subhash Place & Sh. Satish Dahiya, ACP/Operations. On pointing out by the informer, a person was noticed roaming suspiciously on a bike. The team acted swiftly and by displaying keen sense of alertness & swift response, they were able to apprehend him. He was identified as Imran @ Putki s/o Mohd. Arif r/o Jhuggi, Mangal Bazaar Chowk, Jahangirpuri, Delhi (aged 24 years). He was roaming on bike Bajaj Dominar D-250 bearing registration No. DL4SCW4500. On verification of recovered bike, it was found stolen vide e-FIR no. 006566 dated 13.03.2022 u/s 379 IPC PS Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi.
During his sustained interrogation, 02 more stolen scooties: (1) TVS Jupiter black colour bearing registration number DL4SCP8855 found stolen vide e-FIR No. 007086 dated 19.03.2022 u/s 379 IPC PS Bhalaswa Dairy and (2) Honda Activa white colour bearing registration number DL12SF5183 found stolen vide e-FIR No. 007410 dated 22.03.2022 u/s 379 IPC PS Keshaw Puram, Delhi were also recovered at his instance. He found to be a habitual & active criminal, previously found involved in 7 cases of snatching, arms act & theft. He recently came out from jail on bail on 18.11.21 and is facing trial in another 4 snatching cases of PS Mahendra Park. He disclosed that he was roaming in the area and looking for easy targets to commit snatchings, alongwith his associate to earn easy money.
