New Delhi| In the last 24 hours in India, 3,14,835 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported, which is the largest number since the onset of the epidemic last year, taking the total number to 1,59,30,965. Since April 15, more than 2 lakh new cases are being reported in India.
2,95,041 new cases were reported on Wednesday, 2,59,170 cases on 20 April, 2,73,510 on 19 April, 2,61,500 on 18 April, 2,34,692 on 17 April, 2,17,353 on 16 April and 2 on 15 April , 00,393 cases were reported.
Meanwhile, 2,104 more people died due to the virus, after which the total number of casualties rose to 1,84,657.
This is the second consecutive day the country has recorded more than 2,000 deaths on a single day.
There were 2,023 deaths on Wednesday, the largest single-day figure so far.
At the same time, the number of active cases in the country has increased to 2,29,142.
A total of 1,78,841 infected people recovered in the last 24 hours, after which the total recovery increased to 1,34,54,880.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 16,51,711 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. A total of 27,27,05,103 samples have been tested so far in the country.
According to government figures, a total of 22,11,334 people were also vaccinated in the same period, with the total number of vaccines being 13,23,30,644.
