Chembur fire incident: CM Shinde inspects the spot, announces Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the deceased

Mumbai, 6 October  A massive fire broke out in a shop built under a house in Siddharth Nagar, Chembur, Mumbai on Sunday. Seven people of the same family died due to the fierce fire. After this incident, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the spot and inspected it.

The CM inquired about the families of the deceased. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shinde has announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased. The Chief Minister also said that the matter will be thoroughly investigated.

After inspecting the spot, the CM while talking to reporters said that measures will also be reviewed to ensure that such an unfortunate incident does not happen again. This is a very unfortunate incident. A mountain of sorrow has fallen on the Gupta family. Seven people died and two were injured due to the fire.

He said that a high-level investigation will be conducted into the matter. The injured will be treated through the government. Along with this, the CM has also announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, former MP Rahul Shewale and Mumbai Municipal Corporation officials were present with him on this occasion.

Let us tell you that seven people of the same family died in a massive fire in Siddharth Nagar of Chembur area this morning. Eyewitnesses said that the fire broke out in a shop located on the ground floor. As soon as the information was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The fire reached the upper floor in no time. Therefore, the people living there could not be saved.

The firefighters controlled the fire at around nine in the morning. After this, all the seven people trapped inside were taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared them dead.
