Delhi Police recovered 96 oxygen concentrators from Khan Chacha Restaurant

New Delhi | Delhi Police on Friday arrested four people with the seizure of 419 oxygen constructors from the famous Khan Chacha restaurant in South Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Delhi Atul Bhatia said, “We have recovered 96 oxygen concentrators from Khan Chacha Restaurant in Khan Market area.”

Bhatia said that the police earlier this day had recovered nine more concentrators.

Sources in Delhi Police said that according to the police, after the incidents of illegal marketing of oxygen content, large outlets in Delhi are on the radar of Delhi Police and investigations are on against the nexus of restaurants.

On Thursday, police recovered 419 oxygen concentrators after conducting raids at Nege Joo Restaurant and Bar in the central market of Lodhi Colony. The owners of both restaurants are the same and have not yet been brought for questioning as their whereabouts are unknown.

Police said during the raids on Thursday, the invoices of the oxygen concentrators recovered from the laptop were found. Stickers for the maximum retail price (MRP) showing prices of Rs 69,999 per concentrator were also recovered.

Police sources say that they are investigating that there may be a large nexus of several restaurants.

“Upon further investigation, a search was made and 387 more units of the oxygen concentrator were recovered, which were being sold at exorbitant rates in the black market,” he said, invoicing 70 of these oxygen concentrators.

He said MRP stickers indicating high prices have been seized.
