Chief Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice G.S. Kulkarni’s bench has directed the CBI to conduct a ‘preliminary inquiry’ on Singh’s allegations against Deshmukh within 15 days.
Following the High Court’s decision, a high-level NCP meeting was called by Pawar in which Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other senior leaders were also present in the discussion. The opposition BJP was also demanding Deshmukh’s resignation.
