New Delhi| Congress President Sonia Gandhi has given the party leaders the mantra of solidarity, determination, and commitment to strengthening the organization and speedy revival.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, while delivering the inaugural address at the Working Committee (CWC) meeting, said on Monday, “I request your full cooperation to ensure that there is unity, solidarity, determination and commitment for the speedy revival of our party.” The only message from Udaipur came out loud and clear.
The Congress President said that there is definitely a need for self-criticism in our party forums. But this should not be done in such a way that it destroys confidence and morale and creates an atmosphere of despair and disintegration of the party. On the contrary, let us try to overcome the challenges we face at our level and collectively.
For this it is necessary that the contemplation camp should not become just a ritual but something that we should do now. I am determined that it should usher in a restructured organization to meet the many ideological, electoral and managerial tasks before us.
So we are meeting on the 13th, 14th and 15th of May during Chintan Shivir in Udaipur. About 400 of our colleagues will participate in the camp. During this, our discussions will be held in six groups. They will take up political, economic, social justice, farmers, youth and organizational issues. The delegates have already been informed which group they will be attending. He said that after getting approval from CWC on the afternoon of 15th May, we will adopt Udaipur Nav Sankalp.
He said there is no magic wand. It is only through selfless work, discipline and a constant collective sense of purpose that we can express our feelings. Party has been the center of life of each and every one of us. It has expected our absolute allegiance and has been good for each and every one of us. Now, when we are at a critical juncture, it is imperative that we go ahead and fully repay our debt to the party.
