New Delhi| Seeing the growing Corona transition in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with the commissioner and mayor of the three Delhi Municipal Corporations at the Delhi Secretariat and appealed to work together in the fight against Corona. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendar Jain were also present in this meeting. CM Arvind Kejriwal shared the data on the current status of Corona in Delhi with the Commissioner and Mayor of MCD, saying, “Corona is expanding very fast in Delhi at the moment. 100 to 150 in Delhi by mid-March. Cases were coming every day, but today 24 thousand cases have come in 24 hours. “
“This may be the second wave of Corona for the country, but for Delhi, it is the fourth wave. The first wave in Delhi came in June, the second wave came in September, the third wave came in November and now the fourth wave has come. ”
During this, the CM said, “This meeting with all of you today is formal, but there is constant contact with the MCD officials. You all can understand that there are limited beds in the hospitals. So now there will be a shortage of beds.” “The biggest problem in the situation that we are facing right now is the beds. There will also be a shortage of all resources.”
The CM said, “The MCD we need most right now is from your hospitals. As you have said for Hindrao Hospital to have 400 beds. We do not want ICU beds but oxygen beds at this time.”
He said, “If there is a shortage of oxygen cylinders, we will give oxygen cylinders. If there is a shortage of PPE kits, then we will give you PPE kits. All the shortcomings that we lack, including oxygen cylinders, PPE kits and oximeters. But at this time, the more oxygen beds we can prepare in Delhi, the more we have to prepare. ”
According to CM Arvind Kejriwal, MCD has its own huge medical infrastructure and manpower. We are increasing the beds on a large scale in Yamuna Sports Complex. In the Commonwealth Game Village, we are putting up a lot of beds. It is easy to put beds, but there needs a doctor, nurses too and all the support staff.
CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “We have requested the Central Government to allow us to do door-to-door vaccination inside Delhi. I sincerely hope that the Central Government will allow it. As soon as the Central Government allows it, we in Delhi Will do door-to-door vaccination.
