Ghazipur. The body of former MLA Mukhtar Ansari was laid to rest in the cemetery at Kalibagh, near his ancestral home Yusufpur Mohammadabad in Ghazipur district, on Saturday. A large number of people attended the funeral of Mukhtar Ansari.
The gathering of people had started since Saturday morning. Gradually, the number of people increased.
On the other hand, the son of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, who is known by his moustache, emphasized on his father’s mustache before the funeral procession. A picture went viral on social media, in which the son is seen waving the mustache of his father, Mukhtar Ansari.
With moist eyes, Omar Ansari stroked his father’s mustache for the last time.
DIG Dr. Om Prakash Singh said that the last rites of Mukhtar Ansari were completed peacefully. This action was completed after continuous talks with the family members. During this time people kept coming to the group.
50 people from his family were allowed in the cemetery. Some special people were included in laying the soil. Most of the people were gathered outside the cemetery. Seeing the huge crowd of people, Mukhtar’s son Omar himself took the microphone. He appealed to the people to step back and also appealed to the people to make peace.
Mukhtar Ansari was buried amidst a heavy police force and a crowd of people. At the time of his last farewell, all of Mukhtar’s relatives, including his elder brother Afzal Ansari, former MLA Sibgatullah Ansari, nephew Muhammadabad MLA Suhaib Ansari, and son Omar Ansari, poured soil on Mukhtar’s grave.
