NEW DELHI: Microsoft is working with a project ‘Latte’ that will allow app developers to run their Android apps directly on the Windows app with slight changes to the codes. According to Windows Central reports, developers have to package their Android apps according to MSIX format and submit it to Microsoft Office.
MSIX is a Windows app package format that provides a modern packaging experience to all Windows apps.
In the current time, users can run the Android app on their PC through the app ‘Your Phone’ made for Windows 10.
However, it can be used only from some Samsung phones.
With Project Lathe, developers will now be able to bring their apps on Windows 10 which were not available.
Project Latte however will not support the Play service, as Google does not allow this service to be installed anywhere except for the native Android app and Chrome OSS
