LUCKNOW| Chipko movement leader Sundarlal Bahuguna has given his support to the farmers who are protesting against the three agricultural laws. Talking to reporters, Bahuguna said that he supports the demands of ‘Annadata’.
Sunderlal Bahuguna is a noted Garhwali environmentalist and leader of the Chipko movement.
For many years he has been fighting for the conservation of forests in the Himalayas. He was previously one of the prominent members of the Chipko movement in the 1970s. Later also spearheaded the Anti Tehri Dam movement starting in the 1980s and early 2004.
Since 26 November thousands of farmers have been protesting at various borders of the national capital against the newly created three agricultural laws.
